Meccano Robot Toys for 2009
July 21, 2009
Along comes four new additions to the Meccano family with the introduction of Spykee Vox and his little brother, Spykee Mini Vox and the smaller Spykee Micro CellLight version.
First up is Spykee Vox that is assembled from 200 pieces but can actually be built into 3 different forms of robot. This robot with attitude can respond to either infrared or voice control and can form different facial expressions depending on what mood he’s in - he can get quite angry though if wound up the wrong way!
Spykee Vox can be programmed by your PC so you can personalise him to your taste with different sounds. Spykee makes a great ipod station with its own iPod dock and quality speakers. Spykee Vox costs £139.99 and is suitable for kids aged eight and up. Meccano range can be found at www.toysgamesgifts.com
Spykee Mini VoxSpykee Mini Vox is just as lively, responding to eight different voice commands. Just say the word and he’ll move, dance… or attack. A more basic construction containing only 20 parts, Mini Vox can be enjoyed by kids of seven and upwards.
Next up is the Spykee Cell Robot from Meccano that amazingly can break cool moves around your home like an additional member of the family. It comes complete with an iPod dock so it will play music from your ‘Pod through its stereo speakers.
Spykee Cell also comes with a built in camera so can take loads of snaps when people are least expecting it. (More for the photo album). All of the photographs can be saved directly to your phone. Another function for this cool gadget is that the Spykee Cell will also make and receive calls as a Bluetooth hands-free receiver. Spykee is a gadget to be proud of.
The last of the new additions is the Spykee Micro Cell. He’s easy to build (just 20 pieces) and is suitable for ages seven and up. Controlled via infrared commands, he can move forward and backwards or spin.
